Precious little Ami Ye and Aunt Shannon

I know it is amazing that these are not of Cassidy, but yes there is another little one that is in our family's life that is so amazing and important. Our niece Ami Ye. Shannon and Blayne (my sister and brother-in-law) brought Ami home to Denver from China, and she is a true blessing. We get to see her on our web camera about once a week, and I love watching her grow. I do wish we lived closer, as Ami and Cassidy could play.

So other than my little one, Ami has stolen my heart. i have to brag on my sister and brother-in-law, but mostly my sister. Blayne and Shannon are raising a truly amazing little girl. Shannon is an amazing Mom. I can only hope that I am half of the Mom she is. I am so blessed to think that one day be called "Aunt Shelley" by this little one!
OK, so a couple of the pictures are from Missouri. Mike, Cassidy and I are driving there in July. I know I am crazy but I am really actually excited about the drive. We will see how I feel as I get closer though =-). By then, I will be really excited about seeing Dad and Kim (Poppy Dick and Mimi Kim), but not so excited about seeing the highway...

Anyway, here are some more pictures...

Mike got a bike?????

So, don't worry, Mike has not fallen off of his rocker just yet! I know you might think that he has because of the pictures, but you are totally wrong! Mike did not get a bike. Our wonderful neighbors George and Diane do have a Harley however. They were going out of town and George needed someone to help him get the Harley on the trailor and get it tightend down. Mike said he would help and I ran for my camera. I figured I better take advantage of this ,becuase it mght not ever happen again. Which is fine by me. I love hearing Harleys, I love seeing them fly by, but I have been on the back of a motorcycle before, and certainly it would take a lot for me to do it again.
By the way, that is the ONLY time I want to see my daughter on one of these bikes as well!
Take care!

Beautiful Rainbow & Friend Playdate

Well, on Friday, we had a playdate with our new friend Carson and his mom Tressa. Carson is the little boy of a guy that I work with. We had a lot of fun as you can see from the pictures above. Iwas very impressed. There was not a single fight the whole time that they were together. Pretty good for a couple of kids! I really enjoyed getting to talk with Tressa and getting to know her better. Ryan and I have worked together for about four and a half years, and it was nice to finally be able to get to know the Mrs. better. Thanks Tressa, we will have to do it again!
So, with all the rain that Houston got on Monday, I think everyone in town had a special treat. After the rain was starting to stop, there was a beautiful, big rainbow. I was driving home from the gym, and saw it. It was still there by the time I got to the house, so I called Mike and had him bring Cassidy out and she got to see it. We ended up standing in the backyard talking about it for a few minutes. Cassidy was very curious about where the "End of the Rainbow" was. It was really cute.

Happy Anniversary

So yesterday (April 28th) was Mike and I's 8th anniversary. Happy Anniversary Honey. Since it was a work day, and we celebrated our anniversary this past weekend, I wasn't expecting much, but low and behold, Mike walked in the house with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. There are stargazer lilies and roses, and they are in a beautiful vase. I promise to post pictures of the flowers, and a couple other that I might find...who knows it will be a walk down memory lane by tomorrow. Recently, Mike and I were talking about our wedding, and what we do and don't remember...it was a TON of FUN...I do remember that, but I told him I would love to do it again, because this time I would remember it, and there wouldn't be all the nerves. Plus Cassidy would get to see it. Who knows, maybe we will renew our vows one day.

Well, on another note, we survived the rain. No damage at our house, just lots and lots and lots and lots of water....I think Cassidy has seen more rain in her three and a half years, then I have seen in the past ten combined!

Above is a pictures of the flowers my WONDERFUL husband of 8 years gave me for our anniversary. I love him so much! =-)

Some more pictures from King's Orchard

OK, so I have some more pictures to post from the Orchard. Actually it is from the school bus ride. Cassidy had her bus ride, and LOVED IT! So with that being said this time she was a pro. She had already had her first bus ride when they went to Pump It Up. Check for more new pictures in my past blogs. I have updated some more. Cas is growing up so fast! I can't believe it. Every time I look at pictures, I realize that she is a little girl, no more baby! All is well otherwise. Thanks to our Gammy and Poppa, we were able to go out with friends that we have not seen in a while last Saturday, and we are going to celebrate our anniversary (just the two of us) this Saturday. Thanks Gams & Pops!

Cas' Spring School Picture

So I am so proud of myself. I have posted at least twice this week and with pictures! How amazing. Here is Cas' latest school picture 9Spring 2009). I can't believe how big she is getting. I love my little munchkin! This weekend should be fairly quiet. Not a whole lot going on, the weather got really bad today, but hopefully will be better this weekend!

King's Orchard

Well, yesterday, I took a day off of work to go with Cassidy and her class to King's Orchard and go strawberry picking. We had a wonderful time. Cassidy got to ride the school bus and loved it. We picked strawberries, then Cas and I spent the rest of the day together. It was nice. Cassidy didn't want to go back to school that much today, as I didn't want to go to work...Oh well, that's life! Anyway, I have attached some pictures from our event. I will post more pictures that show her cute face a little later on! Hope all is well with everyone and I will post more soon! Shelley
