Crazy weekend

This past weekend was a busy one. We had so much going on, I almost forgot what all we did. =-) (Not really!). On Friday, Cassidy went to her Gammy's while I got my teeth cleaned, YAY (again NOT REALLY!) My father is a dentist, and I hate going to get my teeth cleaned. It could be that the hygienist is ALWAYS rough, and ALWAYS is telling me that I need something. It really bugs me. Why can't I just go get my teeth cleaned and go on my merry way? Anyway, enough of that rant.

After getting my teeth cleaned, Cassidy and I headed over for some much needed pampering and got our toes done. Cassidy got to sit in the bear chair and really enjoyed it.

Friday night, we grabbed a quick bite to eat, and just spent some much needed time at home. We just relaxed and really enjoyed it.

Saturday morning, it was up and we were going! First we went to our gym which was having an appreciation day for the members. They had a bounce house, had neat booths (I bought some jewelry), and just an all around good time.

We could not stay too long there, because right after that, we had to head to Mike's office picnic. Cassidy played in the bounce house, and we mingled with some of Mike's new co-workers. It was a nice event, they even had face painting, popcorn and snow cones! YUMMY!

We didn't stay too long there before we decided we were hungry. I know I just got through talking about food, but for those of you that know me well, I had to get actual food! So off to Chick fil A we went. We had a nice lunch there, then headed off to run a few errands. I have to give kudos to my child. Cassidy is such a trooper. She just went along with everything, and didn't complain as much as I was!

When we finally made it back from all of that, we all rested for a while before we headed back out the door to go to my cousin's house. His son Jacob was having his 2nd birthday party, and you guessed it, there was a BOUNCE HOUSE! My lands, it's a good thing Cassidy likes them, otherwise we would have been in trouble. We had so much fun there, I took a lot of pictures (maybe too many) for Kelly, and we visited with all the friends and family there. We didn't leave until almost 11:00, and Cassidy was still awake! I was so worried she was going to be awake for a while, but after backing out of the driveway, and out of the subdivision, she was out like a light!

Sunday was a pretty uneventful day to start. We did some yard work, and Cas and Bella played outside.

We spent some good family time together. Then it was off to Gammy's house! Mike and I dropped Cassidy off for her exciting adventure trip to Denver with her Gammy. They were going to help out my sister, because my niece Ami doesn't have school this week, and my sister has to work. So, meanwhile back at the house, Mike and I are getting a lot of GOOD REST! It is so quiet when I get home though...about the time I get used to it, Cas will be back!

Anyway, until next post!

Monday Muffins with Mom

This past Monday, Cassidy's school had Muffins with Mom. It was so much fun. I was really excited to take Cas to school, and sit in the "After Schoolers Room" and eat a muffin with my sweet girl! Cas ended up having a donut, but we still had a wonderful breakfast. Tuesday was Donuts with Dad, but I wasn't there, so we didn't get a picture. Oh well, maybe next year on that one =-) . Have a great day!

The Showboat Drive In Movie Theater

On Friday afternoon, we got the invitation to go to one of the only Drive In Movies that are left around Houston. Our friends' Mike and Patty and their two kids, were headed out to see The Diary of a Wimpy Kid at the movie theater in Tomball. I have to say, I can't remember ever going to a drive in movie, so I was not sure what to expect. I have seen them on tv, but it's tv. So, off we went. I loaded up some blankets, and we all dressed warm, grabbed some camp chairs, and we were ready. The girls had a great time playing in the back of the cars as we watched the movies wit the tailgates up. The weather was clear and COLD! I was not expecting it to be that cold, but we survived. The girls and Brandon(Patty and Mike's son) really enjoyed the movies, and I enjoyed Mike and Patty's conversation. Cassidy fell asleep on the ride home which worked out perfect because we had put her in her PJ's before the movie started.

Well, here are some pics! Enjoy, until next post!
(Sorry this first one is a little dark)...

Sprinkler fun already?!?!?

I can't believe that it is already that time of year again for Houston. I guess I should be used to it after all these years, but it still amazes me every year. This past weekend, we had warm enough weather to, you guessed it, go play in the SPRINKLERS! Cassidy has been waiting patiently all year, and is excited it is getting warm enough to get wet outside!

Until next post,

Hats

Cassidy loves hats! It doesn't matter what size, shape or color. She loves trying hats on. Most of the time, she would wear a hat as the only dress up item.

We were shopping at Garden Ridge this weekend, the store of everything, and of course, we came across some hats. What does Cassidy want to do, try all of them on. We could have spent forever in the store trying on hats, but I finally told her we had to go.

Does your child like hats?

Our first teeth cleaning!

I will definetly have more pictures of this to post a little later, they are trapped in my camera right now, trying to figure out how to get out(smile!). But, I did want to share that Cassidy had a wonderful dentist experience. Some of you know my Dad is a dentist, and I would have loved for him to clean Cassidy's teeth, but he lives in Missouri, so it wasn't really logical. So, we have a friend that Cassidy goes to school with and her Dad is a dentist. He was amazing with Cassidy. The hygentist was wonderful as well. The dentist we went to (if you are in The Woodlands area, a suburb of Houston), is Dr. Saad Salahuddin. Check him out if you are in the need of a cleaning, or your child is! Great office, wonderful staff, and very kid friendly as well. I was impressed as he is a general dentist, not a children's dentist.

Plus, he has a great goodie box! See what Cassidy picked out...yes it is a duck call, and it sounds exactly like one! She is looking forward to going out to the park so she can use it to "talk to the ducks!"

My Little Princess

Cassidy loves dress up. She always have, and I think she always will. She has such an imagination. She has a princess dress up dress in particular that she loves. It is Cinderella, and I do have to say, she looks adorable as Cinderella. What do you think?

My little Ballerina

Thanks to Aunt Jenny and Cousin Jordan, Cassidy got a new tutu skirt. She absolutely loves it. She has been twirling and wanting to put it on every day since Saturday. I couldn't resist to show some pictures!

Take care,
Until next post,

Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY!

This past weekend we went to the Houston Zoo. It was an amazing day. The weather was ideal. For Houston in March, it is usually a toss up. Will it rain, will it be 800 degrees? Those were questions we were willing to face...I'm glad we did. Mike and I decided to surprise Cassidy with the zoo since on Friday night I was completely wiped out from work. It was a long last week, and I told him I didn't want to get her hopes up and then not go. So my wonderful husband listened to me, and didn't say a word. (Thank you Honey!).

Well, every time we go to the zoo, Cassidy picks a new favorite animal. This time Cassidy was IN LOVE with the flamingos. She thought it was awesome that they were pink, and that is her favorite color. Once we told her flamingos were pink because of their diet, she was totally confused. Cas also loved the birds, and loved the zebras. If you have a chance and are in Houston, you should come visit the zoo. They have wagons that you can rent there, you are allowed to bring coolers, and they are working on finishing the renovation of the entire zoo. The finished project will be this fall 2010! It was a wonderful day.

Here are some pics, I will have more soon after I edit!
Happy Tuesday!

Some fun at the Mall

I definetly have a child that is just like me. Loves to go shopping, and loves to find a good bargin. Well, this past Sunday was no different. After talking to my sister about vacation this summer, and the family photographs I am going to take for us (check out my website www.noellephoto.com), we decided on what we wanted the kids to wear for the picture. This picture is going to be a redo for the one that we all experienced three years ago on the beach in Hilton Head, South Carolina. We were officially the forehead family...no joke! I will post that particular picture another day as I don't have it scanned on my computer right now.

Anyway, we shopped, and shopped, and rode the carousel, and shopped and ate lunch and shopped. Then when we thought we were done, we went to Target and shopped a little more.

So here is the shirt that two of the girls Ami and Cassidy will be wearing for the picture. What do you think? We found it at Gymboree. Normally I don't shop there because it is a little bit more expensive than I would like, but I did this time. The shirt is called the Daisy Chain top...(if you are looking on line).

Some pictures on the carousel...

Sleeping Beauty

Normally Cassidy is a night owl, but lateley if we are lucky, she will go to bed early...say before 9 p.m. Last night was one of those nights. She was so adorable sleeping, I could not help but to share a pic with you...

Officially Grown Up

I am really feeling grown-up these days...I know I know that I really am, but today made it more realistic. I registered Cassidy for Kindergardten in the fall. I can't beileve it. My baby will be all grown up. She is going to private kindergarten, but still, she is going! She is super excited, and it is at her school. She can't wait to have her own desk, and cubby, they get to have P.E. too. She will not be able to be off with me any more on Fridays (sad =-( ), but maybe I can get everything I need to done, so that the weekends can be more fun now =-) !

Anyway, that is the offical post for today...more to come tomorrow!
