9 years...really?

(This morning started out pretty normal, as I was getting ready for work, but it quickly changed. Normally, the mornings are quiet, and I am alone, as Mike, Cassidy and the dog are still sleeping. As I was getting dressed in the bathroom, the door opened, and there stood my wonderful VERY SLEEPY husband. He walked over said good morning, and Happy Anniversary. I told him how much I appreciated him waking up to tell me Happy Anniversary before I went to work, and his response...he only woke up because he drank to much water and had to go to the bathroom...WOW, we have been married for 9 years.) Now with that being said, this post is dedicated to my Amazing, wonderful husband.

**********************************************************
Today celebrates my 9 year wedding anniversary, with a man that is more wonderful than I could ever imagine. In some ways I can't believe it's only been 9 years, and in other ways I can't believe it hasn't been longer.

Mike and I have been through a lot of trials in our marriage. The one thing that I can safely say though is I have never doubted Mike's love for me. We have been through buying a home, changing jobs, having a baby, and everything else involved in a marriage. We have been through the small fights, and even the big ones. I don't know where I would be if Mike wasn't with me. I know that I could not do this walk alone, especially now that we have a daughter with us.

Mike has loved me fat and thin, pregnant and moody. We have laughed together, cried together, fought together and I know together we will concur the world. (Not that we need to right now). Actually, our life lately, although a little busy, has been pretty calm, and very stable. Luckily we have not had any major things really going on.

I still remember nine years ago today, having slept on a blow up mattress the night before our wedding (long story), and waking up in my Mom's house to a wonderful breakfast. Sitting outside thinking about the day ahead and that I was about to marry my best friend. I remember every moment of getting ready, the drive to the church, seeing family and friends, and knowing how surrounded in love we were. I am so thankful that we were able to experience that, and truly believe that with the support of our family and friends we are where we are today.

I have never been more in love with Mike then I am right now. Just when I don't think I could love Mike more, I wake up and do. He is a wonderful husband, lover, friend, and most importantly now, the best dad(next to mine), that I have ever known.

I am looking forward to the next nine years and what they will bring.

I LOVE YOU MIKE!

Until next post,

No title

So, this blog does not have a title. Quiet honestly, I am not sure what I have to write about at the moment. We have been so busy, but I don't have the energy to talk about it today. I just wanted to let those know that follow my blog, or check on us from time to time, we are good, actually GREAT. We as a family have just been super busy, and I have not felt like anything was earth shattering enough to blog about. I promise though, I will get on the ball this weekend. I have been going through a bunch of old pics, and doing a lot of editing, so more to come.
Until next post!

Crazy weekend

This past weekend was a busy one. We had so much going on, I almost forgot what all we did. =-) (Not really!). On Friday, Cassidy went to her Gammy's while I got my teeth cleaned, YAY (again NOT REALLY!) My father is a dentist, and I hate going to get my teeth cleaned. It could be that the hygienist is ALWAYS rough, and ALWAYS is telling me that I need something. It really bugs me. Why can't I just go get my teeth cleaned and go on my merry way? Anyway, enough of that rant.

After getting my teeth cleaned, Cassidy and I headed over for some much needed pampering and got our toes done. Cassidy got to sit in the bear chair and really enjoyed it.

Friday night, we grabbed a quick bite to eat, and just spent some much needed time at home. We just relaxed and really enjoyed it.

Saturday morning, it was up and we were going! First we went to our gym which was having an appreciation day for the members. They had a bounce house, had neat booths (I bought some jewelry), and just an all around good time.

We could not stay too long there, because right after that, we had to head to Mike's office picnic. Cassidy played in the bounce house, and we mingled with some of Mike's new co-workers. It was a nice event, they even had face painting, popcorn and snow cones! YUMMY!

We didn't stay too long there before we decided we were hungry. I know I just got through talking about food, but for those of you that know me well, I had to get actual food! So off to Chick fil A we went. We had a nice lunch there, then headed off to run a few errands. I have to give kudos to my child. Cassidy is such a trooper. She just went along with everything, and didn't complain as much as I was!

When we finally made it back from all of that, we all rested for a while before we headed back out the door to go to my cousin's house. His son Jacob was having his 2nd birthday party, and you guessed it, there was a BOUNCE HOUSE! My lands, it's a good thing Cassidy likes them, otherwise we would have been in trouble. We had so much fun there, I took a lot of pictures (maybe too many) for Kelly, and we visited with all the friends and family there. We didn't leave until almost 11:00, and Cassidy was still awake! I was so worried she was going to be awake for a while, but after backing out of the driveway, and out of the subdivision, she was out like a light!

Sunday was a pretty uneventful day to start. We did some yard work, and Cas and Bella played outside.

We spent some good family time together. Then it was off to Gammy's house! Mike and I dropped Cassidy off for her exciting adventure trip to Denver with her Gammy. They were going to help out my sister, because my niece Ami doesn't have school this week, and my sister has to work. So, meanwhile back at the house, Mike and I are getting a lot of GOOD REST! It is so quiet when I get home though...about the time I get used to it, Cas will be back!

Anyway, until next post!

Monday Muffins with Mom

This past Monday, Cassidy's school had Muffins with Mom. It was so much fun. I was really excited to take Cas to school, and sit in the "After Schoolers Room" and eat a muffin with my sweet girl! Cas ended up having a donut, but we still had a wonderful breakfast. Tuesday was Donuts with Dad, but I wasn't there, so we didn't get a picture. Oh well, maybe next year on that one =-) . Have a great day!

The Showboat Drive In Movie Theater

On Friday afternoon, we got the invitation to go to one of the only Drive In Movies that are left around Houston. Our friends' Mike and Patty and their two kids, were headed out to see The Diary of a Wimpy Kid at the movie theater in Tomball. I have to say, I can't remember ever going to a drive in movie, so I was not sure what to expect. I have seen them on tv, but it's tv. So, off we went. I loaded up some blankets, and we all dressed warm, grabbed some camp chairs, and we were ready. The girls had a great time playing in the back of the cars as we watched the movies wit the tailgates up. The weather was clear and COLD! I was not expecting it to be that cold, but we survived. The girls and Brandon(Patty and Mike's son) really enjoyed the movies, and I enjoyed Mike and Patty's conversation. Cassidy fell asleep on the ride home which worked out perfect because we had put her in her PJ's before the movie started.

Well, here are some pics! Enjoy, until next post!
(Sorry this first one is a little dark)...

Sprinkler fun already?!?!?

I can't believe that it is already that time of year again for Houston. I guess I should be used to it after all these years, but it still amazes me every year. This past weekend, we had warm enough weather to, you guessed it, go play in the SPRINKLERS! Cassidy has been waiting patiently all year, and is excited it is getting warm enough to get wet outside!

Until next post,

Hats

Cassidy loves hats! It doesn't matter what size, shape or color. She loves trying hats on. Most of the time, she would wear a hat as the only dress up item.

We were shopping at Garden Ridge this weekend, the store of everything, and of course, we came across some hats. What does Cassidy want to do, try all of them on. We could have spent forever in the store trying on hats, but I finally told her we had to go.

Does your child like hats?
