Sleeping Beauty

Normally Cassidy is a night owl, but lateley if we are lucky, she will go to bed early...say before 9 p.m. Last night was one of those nights. She was so adorable sleeping, I could not help but to share a pic with you...

Officially Grown Up

I am really feeling grown-up these days...I know I know that I really am, but today made it more realistic. I registered Cassidy for Kindergardten in the fall. I can't beileve it. My baby will be all grown up. She is going to private kindergarten, but still, she is going! She is super excited, and it is at her school. She can't wait to have her own desk, and cubby, they get to have P.E. too. She will not be able to be off with me any more on Fridays (sad =-( ), but maybe I can get everything I need to done, so that the weekends can be more fun now =-) !

You're kidding...RIGHT?????

The weatherman predicted it, but I didn't believe it, the longer the day went on, the colder it got...and then early evening yesterday it happened again....

SNOW IN HOUSTON!!!!!

I have lived in Houston or the surrounding Houston area for the past 24 years, and have only seen it snow here about four times in that amount of time. Strange thing is that two of four times have been in the last six months! But, on February 23, 2010 it snowed! AGAIN! ~ call it crazy, I am.

I do have to say it was absolutely beautiful. It was hard to get many pictures because it was light and fluffy, and of course the ground was to hot so it didn't stick. But snow was in the air.

Cassidy wanted to go out in it, so we did. We went out and played for just a few minutes, because it started drizzling rain shortly after. Our neighbors came out to see, and we had a nice little snow.

I decided that I would bring Bella our dog out (of course I had to hold her). Not to mention she was in her sweater. All she did was shiver and snort, so that didn't last very long. But even Bella got to see it.

Now of course all of this happens with my child at the age of four. Will she remember it, we could only hope.

Sweet-N-Sassy at Chick Fil A

So, Wednesay night, we went to Sweet-N-Sassy with Brooke, Patty, Mike, Cassidy and myself. Sweet-N-Sassy was there. If you haven't heard of it, it is a company that dresses up girls, does hair, makeup, nails, and has cute outfits. They often have birthday parties, which are a lot of fun as well. They were at Chick-fil-A, and doing all of this for free! What a steal! So, Brooke and Cassidy got their hair and nails done, and then we went for a ride around the block in a pink limo! The girls had a great time! Patty and I had a good time as well. I love being a kid again!

School Valentine's Party

Getting ready for a party never seems to be very easy. Especially, when you are getting ready for your child's school party, and you are room mom, and you are getting 21 goody bags for the kids, and remembering your camera, and getting the teachers a gift, and remembering the juice...you see where this is going? That seems to be the story of my life.
Anyway, with all that being said, we had a wonderful day yesterday at Cassidy's Valentine's party, and all the kids even had a Valentine for their parents. It was really sweet.

Brooke's visit!

So this past Friday, Cassidy's friend Brooke came over for a visit. I picked up Brooke and Cassidy from school, and the girls came home and we went for a play date. The girls had so much fun! Brooke's Mom Patty came over that evening for dinner, and the girls cried, when Brooke had to leave. It was so sweet. Anyway, here are some pictures from their playdate together!

Busy Weekend

So before I got a cold yesterday, we had a pretty busy end of our week, and weekend. On Thursday night, I watched my cousin's kids because they needed some help, as Kelly was out of town, and Chris had to work late. The girls had a blast, and Jacob had fun as well.
