Tuesday mornings have become a tradition in our house. Every Tuesday morning, Mike and
Cassidy head out to school, but first stop off at the donut store. I can't remember when they started it, but is seems like it has been forever! Normally,
Cassidy is easy to wake up, and totally excited about Tuesdays. But today it was a little different. Mike is home with a horrible cold and stayed home from work today. So the 4 D's(Daddy Daughter Donut Day) turned into the 3 D's and 1 M day(Mommy Daughter Donut Day).
Cassidy and I got up, got dressed, fixed our hair and headed out of the house. We headed to the donut store to do the traditional day.
As we were driving the following conversation
occurred...
"Are you ready for some donuts this morning?" I said
"Yes, mam."
Cassidy replied
"Are you excited to be going with Mommy as a change instead of Daddy?"
"Sure. I love you Mommy."
Cassidy said
"I love you too sweetheart. Are you going to have a good day at school today?" I asked
"Sure, but Mommy you ask a lot of questions in the morning."
Cas said
"I do?" I replied.
"Yes, and it's just to early to answer them all. Daddy doesn't ask all these questions."
"O.k. Do you still want to get donuts?" I said
"Yes Mommy, but that is the last question I am answering.
I think I laughed until I got to the office. I feel like I am sure my Mother felt just then. I didn't want to pry, but I guess
Cassidy takes after her Daddy. She is a girl with a few words. But watch out because when she does speak, people listen!
I love my little munchkin and I love the 3 D's and 1 M day!
Until next post!
