Labor Day

Labor Day means the end of summer has come and gone, no more wearing white and now we are getting ready for winter. Although in south Texas, we don't really have a bad winter, we still have cold days, and overcast skies. With Labor Day, the first of the school year starts, and the roll begins ready for all of the fall happenings. I can't believe in six days my baby will be five. But that's another post for another day. For our Labor Day, we have started a tradition with our friends Mike and Patty, and their kids Brooke and Brandon. We all pile into cars and head to the coast. Last year, I was unimpressed, as we are only going to Galveston, but this year, I have to say, it was a really nice day. The water was clear, the sand (still and always will be) brown, but there was a nice breeze, and not a crazy with crowds as I expected. We went to Stewart Beach which for those who know Galveston, is now a "Family Beach". No alcohol allowed, and lots of beach patrol.

The girls had a good time, swimming on the beach, since we built them a swimming pool. It actually worked out great for the adults as well, since we knew where the kids were, at least most of the time =-) . It was such a nice sunny day, and there was much fun to be had. After the beach all afternoon, we went and showered up and went out for a nice dinner. Then we hoped in the car and headed home. It was a long, but fun day! Thanks to our friends Mike and Patty. I hope we can make it three years and running.

Well, here are some of my favorite pics, and the album from the day as well.
Enjoy!

Here are some of my Favs of the Day...
