So to start, I have to say Happy Early Birthday to my dad! His birthday is on the 9th, but he will be out on Kentucky Lake. So in honor of you Dad, I have posted some pictures from our Hilton Head, South Carolina trip back in 2007. Can't wait until next year! I am looking forward to the beach again! I love you and Miss you Dad, have a wonderful birthday!
So, today is Thursday (my Friday) and I am ready for the weekend. Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend OTC otherwise known as the Offshore Technology Conference down in Reliant Stadium/Arena. It is always an awesome experience to see any new gadgets they have, and meet with the vendors one on one. It's always amazing to be standing on the floor of Reliant Stadium with booths all set up. It doesn't look the same as when in the stands, but now I would know how it feels to be on the field. I was able to climb into a "survival capsule" which is used if they have to leave a platform in an emergency. YIKES! I do have to say I could only handle it for a short while. They get hot!
Other than OTC, we have a fun weekend ahead. Tomorrow night we have the Astros games with some friends at Minute Maid park, and then we have a BBQ and get together on Saturday with some friends. I hope Cas has fun at both. I should have some pictures once the weekend is done.
